Successfully introduced into the jubilee smartphone iPhone X, Apple’s new system for facial recognition Face ID is not suitable for children aged 13 years or younger. In the recently released safety instructions, the corporation informs iPhone X users that are under 13 years old are not recommended to use the Face ID system because of the great probability of wrongful recognition.
According to Apple, this system’s fault is explained by the fact that facial features in children under the age of 13 years might be not completely formed yet. As a result, the system fails to tell one kid’s face from another’s.
The company’s representatives recommend that young iPhone X owner should use regular passwords.
